Introducing ID:DEV

It starts with talent identification and evaluation.  It continues with player development.  It’s the backbone of the sport.  There are no shortcuts.  You must put the hours in.  Because every pitch will tell a story.  Every pitch will provide an opportunity for insight.  You can quantify and analyze anything that you would like. It has a long history in sport. 

However, that doesn’t tell the story.  It gives you a still picture, but not the story.  The story happens away from the ball.  Away from the data.  Data is complicated.  But scouting and player development is complex.  Exploring this complexity will be the aim of this blog.
